The city of New Orleans, It is literally magical, full of wonder culture and above all else secrets. People have died to keep the secrets that lie buried beneath the streets of this place. A secret society of people gifted with powers beyond most normal mortal dreams. They are not the only ones though, scattered through the cities streets and out skirts are the vampires, undead nosferatu that must drink the blood of humans to survive, they have power too, strength, speed and increased senses, their one weakness is sunlight.
The city lives for the most part unknowing of all of this. Behind the running of the city the Order of the Black Dawn, this group of people were born with unusual and magical abilities, they are able to cast spells using fire and shadow. They can heal their own wounds with only words. Some of them even have the ability to posses others and project pain much like the powers voodoo shamans are supposed to be able to, another power though this is only given to the very special few of which there are not many is the power of transformation. binding with an animal spirit to allow them to transform into that animal
They live in secret influencing the authorities, police and politician some of them even members their selves. They meet under ground in a large chamber this is where they hold their ceremonies whicy can be anything from just a meeting to a sacrifice to the demons they worship and pay homage to.
The vampires mostly content on just living are often hunted and killed by these demon worshoppers they believe it gives them strength and will help them on their way to progressing through thir order. Vampires now have banded together under the leadership of a council of elder vampires led by the Infamous Lady Rayne. They aim to help preserve their kind and even destroy the evil order.
So this is the story, where will you end up? A member of a secret demon worshipping magical order bent on destruction and power, a vampire hunted and trying to survive or perhaps just a helpless human caught in the crossfire?
